Open call for strategic designers
Y2 Research Residency “Interior Networking”.
Our initial 2017 research residency is an opportunity for candidates researching or working in the fields of design research, user experience research, sociology, ethnography or critical engineering.
We are inviting researchers and practitioners to consider, research and prototype an interior community, or shared-space, connected experience designed for micro-communities.
The remit is to develop a prototype that seeks to identify and address ongoing internet related social issues such a trust, data ownership and identity within a family or share-house-like context. Additional considerations will include ethical, sociological and technical aspects of the imagined interfaces. The devised experience might cover physical and digital conversational user interfaces, collaborative and communication features.
- Application deadline: May 26, 2017.
- Duration: 6 week, part-time based in our lab in Cremorne (Melbourne).
- Payment: Our research residents receive a $5000 payment on completion.
